That would be true if nail prices weren't out of control. Every day there's videos of nail techs charging $150-$250 for a fill! Having your nails done is called an affordable luxury. People are skipping over the affordable part and going strait to luxury. I completely get what you are saying regarding price increases. Times change and sometime gross cost increases and it begins to cut into your bottom line. However, raising your prices is a dance. You can't just say I'm not making enough so I'm going to raise prices. That can easily be the death of your business. Raising your prices a few dollars is understandable but when you expect people to pay half the value of their mortgage each month, people will determine it is no longer a luxury they desire because the value isn't there. Let's face it, there are many options these days for doing your own nails so you have to be careful to not leave a bad taste in your customer's mouth so much so that they don't return. So by all means, you should 100% be paid for your time and your costs but be be careful to not over reach thinking people will just pay it. In this tight economic climate with no end in sight, people are tightening those purse string closer than ever.

I'm a germophobe and wash and clean my nails after every single work. (Note: I don't use fake nails, I have natural ones) Trust me, your nail did not look like it is stained, it looks like some dirt is there junked together 😅
